The folks from the 7th Century were a lot smarter than today. A few centuries of inbreeding between close relatives has lowered their IQ substantially. Marriage of first cousins is encouraged. Many villages have only 4 or 5 surnames. At one time this was the “cradle of civilization” and the world leader in mathematics, astronomy and medicine. Today they only lead in trouble and turmoil and terrorism.
