Alone in that house? Did the idiot robber know that? Does this perp live nearby? Was it a 22? He’s lucky it wasn’t a real 9 or 38 or 357!!
If someone tries breaking into my house they should expect the exact same outcome. I will not call 911 until after I remove the threat because its easily a 10 minute wait usually way more than 10 minutes. So until 911 arrives in seconds I prefer to call after the event and the threat has been neutralized. My weapon of choice is my trusty M-1911 Colt .45. The same type i carried and Qualified with 2 times a year for my 8 years in the Army.
