I grew up in Northern New Jersey, a melting pot of hardworking citizens from all over the world. My family and peers were mostly 2nd and 3rd generation Americans. I heard so many stories from elders about what they left behind because they were fortunate enough to escape from all kinds of poverty and oppression.
There is no way any of us would spout the kind of nonsense these fools believe in. The stories we heard were sobering and it was painfully heartbreaking to think about what our beloved great grandmas and great grandpas endured. What made it especially hard to listen to was the profound sadness in their voices when they spoke about the ones they left behind the Iron Curtain, etc.
Lack of gratitude is sinful, it dishonors our heritage and is destroying our future.
Bernie Sanders : I am convinced that YOU should feel the Bern of a healthy tax bill on your three houses. YOU are a millionaire and can afford to PAY YOUR SHARE!
Yeah, attack the guy who advocates for the average citizen. You must love Musk….you know, the guy who ended USAID to starve children all over the world. But YOU have to attack Bernie.
Greg,
Thank you, this is an amazing post as usual. I agree that much of this is indoctrination by our (so called) education system. I returned to school in my mid 30s. I had more life and work experience than many of my professors. I was too old to indoctrinate but I did witness it.
One example of many; my American History professor had us read a book comparing Stalin and Roosevelt. The author’s preface said that the book would not include information about any atrocities or horrific deeds attributed to Stalin as a leader. It would simply be a comparison of the two leaders and how very “similar” they were.
The reason to not cover the horrors? Well, well, young grasshoppers, there has been plenty written about that already. No need to belabor that part of the story…
Teachers, authors, fools, my Russian Babka and your mom would have straightened them all out. I guess it is up to us.
UHHH . . . AREN’T Socialists not supposed to own ANYTHING and be HAPPY?!? Yeah, I THOUGHT so.
Thanks for outing yourself genius. “I’m so dumb, i am going to prove it to everyone else!”
