Many states have REAL ID. For this iD I had to provide a notorized birth certificate. Each time I changed my name (married 2x) I had to provide a certified marriage certificate and divorce certificate—basically I provided a paper trail from birth to present day. Copies can be requested on line or via phone. It’s EASY. And it was less than $10 for mailing.
