It was done before. It was done December 21 to December 27, 1968 with Apollo 8 with Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and William Anders. They were the first to reach the moon. The lunar lander wasn’t ready; so they couldn’t land on the moon. They circled the moon ten times. Frank Borman read from the Bible the first chapter of Genesis. It was Christmas time. Then they came back to Earth.
